About us

If you haven't heard, we have a very exciting program in the Lisbon area. In October of 2009, Faith in Action became part of the Lisbon Area Health Services. This was made possible by a grant from Catholic Health Initiatives (CHI). We are a volunteer based program which is providing support to people who need a little assistance retaining their independent lifestyle.

Faith in Action volunteers can offer aid to those who need help with normal, everyday activities due to health conditions, age, or disabilities. Volunteers help people by providing non-medical assistance with tasks such as: a ride to the doctor, visiting, grocery shopping or light housework. By providing this assistance we can help you keep in touch with your community and to be able to continue your every day routine. Faith in Action is a community working together, offering encouragement, companionship, faith and hope.

The services provided by Faith in Action are at no cost to the recipient and there are no financial eligibility requirements. CHI is making it possible to start Faith in Action in the Lisbon area. Our Mission is to build a solid foundation and expand Faith in Action into both Ransom and Sargent Counties. We can accomplish this by working together. You can help by becoming a volunteer or contributing a financial gift.

Because we are a non-profit program, we depend upon donations, fundraisers and
grants to meet our goals in maintaining a strong program.
